Guest Interview Number 5 Saturday

It's Saturday are you having a good weekend? I hope so! I have another Author for you. I hope you like her as much as I do! 

My question's are in black today.

1) Can you please introduce yourself to everyone.

Hi, I am Heather Fortman,  :)
I just wrote my first book, Chasing Constellations  (http://authl.it/B00M7LCEZE ) this past July. I'm currently working on book two (Tracking The Hunter) which I hope to have out soon! Let's see, I'm a mom to two cats and two dogs, a 15 year old boy, and of course my loving husband. (We all know men can be kids, no matter their ages!)    

3) Do you have a favorite genre?

I get asked this a lot, and honestly, no I don't. I love any and all genres. As long as it's a good book!

4) Did you always want to write or what inspired you to do it?

I have. Even back when I was twelve years old, I used to carry around an extra note book and write stories in them. My poor parents were constantly bombarded with "Mom, read this!" to the point I think they were about to burn my notebooks! I was just too afraid to hit that big red publish button until my husband finally convinced me. That, and the awesome SE Smith took me under her wing and showed me how to do everything. She's a fantastic person, and has no problem answering any questions!

5) Do you need a nice quiet space to write or are you blasting your music and writing?

I'm either blasting music, or blaring the TV! I HAVE to. HAVE. TO! Have to have some background noise. Ironically, I can't concentrate with dead silence.

6) If you could give one tip to someone who wants to write what would it be?

Don't put it off. Write it. Get someone to edit it. Then publish it. Your dreams are pointless, unless you take them by the horns and DO something about it, or with them.

7) What is the big dream? In other words where would you like your writing to take you to in the future?

Wow. Umm.. I just want people to enjoy the stories I write. I love writing them and want to share them.

8) If you could meet anyone living or dead who would it be?

Edgar Allen Poe. Sherrilyn Kenyon. They're fantastic writers.

1) Do you like pizza or salad?

 Both!

2) What do you like more cake or fruit?

 Hmm this one depends on my mood. I'm allergic to wheat (sobs) sooo depends on if I want to pay the piper!

3) What is your favorite kind of music? 

Anything but 99% of rap! Right now I have Godsmack, Nickleback, Garth Brooks… they're all playing in a shuffle!

4) Who is your favorite Author?

 I have wayyy too many to remember them all! However; I love Sherrilyn Kenyon. Renee George. Cynthia St. Aubin. SE Smith. Dawn Montgomery. Alexandria Ivy. Just to name a few.

5) Do you like Vampire, Werewolf, Fairy or shifter men when you read for pleasure? 

Yes to all of the above!

6) Do you have pet's?

 I do! I have two dogs: Belle is an Australian Shepherd, and Penny who is a Harrier Hound. And two black cats, Syd the queen of the house, and Peanut.

7)Do you have favorite animal not your pet's but like wild animals?

I love Zebra's. And Horses. And Eagles…

8) Do you like city or suburbs better? 

I've always been a country girl at heart.

9) If you could live anywhere where would it be? 

Scotland. Or maybe Texas.

10) Do you have tattoos? Do you want one?

 I do! I have one on my shoulder of my son, (baby griffon) and a huge one on my lower back of two adult griffons walking on a rose vine.

11) Do you like guys with tattoos?

 Most definitely!

12) Do you have a favorite place you like to be?

 Cuddled on the couch watching tv or reading with my animals snuggled in and hubby beside me.

Hi Gizmo! I'm Penny! Wanna play?

2.  Do you go to any stores? If so which is your favorite store? 

I don't like car rides, mom thinks it's because I was thrown out of a car when I was a little. But I love going to Pet Supplies Plus with her! I get to pick out a new toy every time we go!

3.       What is your favorite toy that you play with?

 I have a stuffed bunny that I carry with me everywhere. Even to bed!

4.       Do you have a favorite animal show? 

I love watching Cesar Milan! I get sad and whine whenever mom doesn't watch it with me.

5.       Do you chase cats?

 I know better. Syd will get after me if I do! Although, Peanut and I sometimes play chase in the yard! I'll chase him then run away, and he chases me!

6.       Do you like off the leash parks better than walks? There's a HUGE doggie park down the road from us. Mom takes us both there whenever she can. We get to walk there, play for a few hours, then walk home!

7.       Do you like having belly rubs? 

Belly rubs are the best thing in the world!

8.       Do you like it when it's warm or cold out? Day or night?

 I don't like night time. It's scary and reminds me of when I had to live on the streets before Mom found me! But I like when it's cold, then Mom lets me snuggle in bed with her under the covers!

9.       What is your favorite treat? 

People food. *nods* I’m not picky, any treat I get I devour as soon as I can!

10.       Do you sleep on a human bed, a dog bed, the top of the couch, the floor or the crate? 

If mom and dad are in bed, then I'm in there with them. Otherwise, I'm comfy lying on the floor at their feets, keeping them warm!

Guest Interview Blogg Number One Tuesday

    I am in shock over the people who have said "Yes" to answering questions for my blog. So a HUGE thank you to anyone who has done ths for me. I just hope I make them look good.
So let us get to started.


1) Can you please introduce yourself to everyone.( tell me anything you brag about yourself so  include pictures and awards or whatever you want to share books magazines)

My name is RE Butler and I'm a paranormal romance writer.  I have published 25 books in six series, beginning with my first book published in November 2011, A Curve of Claw.  I love to write about anything supernatural, from shifters to vampire to wiccans.  I'm a married mother of two living in New Jersey.  I love to read, make jewelry, and in the summer we spend our time at the shore, boating, clamming, crabbing, and getting some sun.

2) Would you like to share any work you have done or doing? 

  

My most recent book is the fourth in my Ashland Pride series, Redeeming Rue.  It's about an albino panther who finds herself in more danger than she ever expected when her family - who banished her as a teenager - finds out what she's been up to.  Fortunately for her, two mountain lions named James and John are her mates and they're not about to let anyone hurt her. 

3) Do you have a favorite genre?

Paranormal Romance 

4) Did you always want to write or what inspired you to do it?

  I wrote a lot as a child, and I had aspirations as a young teen to publish, but I never really put myself to work writing until after my youngest was born and I would stay up late with him, reading paranormal romances on my Kindle.  That opened a whole new world to me, and I finally put my fingers on the keys and began to write.

5) Do you need a nice quiet space to write or are you blasting your music and writing?

I can't write with music, but general noise doesn't bother me.  Case in point - I'm writing this and SpongeBob is laughing in the background and my son is chortling at a cow on Minecraft.

6) If you could give one tip to someone who wants to write what would it be?

Just do it!!  Sit down and write and reach for the stars!!  The journey of writing your first book begins with "Chapter One". 

7) What is the big dream? In other words where would you like your writing to take you to in the future?

Someday I'd love to make the USA Today and NYT Best Sellers lists. 

8) If you could meet anyone living or dead who would it be?

I'd like to meet SE Hinton, who published her first book at 14 and inspired me in more ways that I can count.

It depends on the book's subject, but I usually go for shifters other than wolves when I'm reading for pleasure.  I especially love big cats or unique creatures. 

6) Do you have pet's?

I have two dogs and five tanks of fish. 

7)Do you have favorite animal not your pets but like wild animals?

Tiger 

8) Do you like city or suburbs better?

Suburbs, although I would really prefer to live in the country if I could. 

9) If you could live anywhere where would it be?

A cabin in the mountains, as long as it came with a couple of sexy lumberjacks to help keep me warm in the winter. 

10) Do you have tattoos? Do you want one?

I have a tattoo of a tiger.

11) Do you have a favorite place you like to be?

I'm a homebody, so I really just like to be home. 

Gizmo's Pet Talk

2.  Do you go to any stores? If so which is your favorite store?

I'm not allowed to go into stores.  I like to pee on the floor. A lot. 

3.       What is your favorite toy that you play with?

My big brother Montana.  His ears are so soft. 

4.       Do you have a favorite animal show?

I don't like any shows that encourage my humans to try to get me to do tricks or do things like stay off the furniture.  It's taken me a long time to get them trained, I don't want them to get any ideas.

5.       Do you chase cats?

We don't have cats.  I'd like to think we'd get along if we were together, as long as they didn't try to steal my spot on the bed. 

6.       Do you like off the leash parks better than walks?

I have a fenced in backyard so I get to run and play as much as I want, and I only have to hop in the back door to snag the comfy spot on the couch. 

7.       Do you like having belly rubs?

Almost as much having my head scratched. 

8.       Do you like it when it's warm or cold out? Day or night?

I don't like the snow.  My brother likes to bury me in it.  I like it when it's light outside so I can see where I'm going. 

9.       What is your favorite treat?

McDonalds French fries. 

10.       Do you sleep on a human bed, a dog bed, the top of the couch, the floor or the crate?

On my humans' bed.  When they're asleep, I like to creep up between them and slowly push them off their pillows so they're all mine. 

11.   Are you a lap dog?

Only when it suits me.  Or right before they have to get up and go somewhere.

Paws on the ground

My Paws On The Ground Reporting team.

I have three dogs who I am going to use to interview people's pets that I have on my blog or they will interview the people themselves. They might even comment on my cooking skills (or lack of).

This is Gizmo he is my lead Paws On The Ground reporter. He is my 3 year old shih tzu. He likes his belly rubbed all the time. He loves sleeping on his back and chassing leaves. Gizmo doesn't chase after balls often and only plays when HE wants. If you want to see him play take him near sand :-) If Gizzy could talk he would sound like a teacher. That's what I think at least.

This is my husbend Holding Oreo (the cookie) our 1 1/2 year old and his is a Shichon-Teddy Bear (who will try and french kiss you). My husbend is holding him ony because he won't stay still long enough to take a picture. Oreo has a tail that goes in circles like a helicoptor. He likes his belly rubbed too.He also like eating anything he can get ahold of. If Oreo ould talk he would sound like a teenager. 

This is Miss. Bailey, she is 9 months old and she is a shih tzu she is the Diva of the house. She acts like a cat and I think in a past ife she was one. She carries home pinecones and leaves from her walks (sometimes sticks). She also fnd shoes and turns them into tys SMH (Shaking my head) If she were to talk I think she would sound like an eight year old girl. She is a lot like Emily and they are best friends.

So that is who I am going to use to get the inside scoop on the people I interview (I hope they have good insurance) Theses dogs are the best cuddly dgs you ca ask for just watch ut for the tongue!! lmao


Now I can't leave out my number one taste tester.

This is Miss Emily my 8 year old little girl. She loves my cooking ( She must have no taste buds that or she has to take what she can with all the boys) As you can tell she likes pink!

A quick tease about tomorrow's blog. 

This is the dog of the person I have up next, do you know the dog? Shhhhhhh don't tell ; )

I Still Have a Working Kitchen

Ok so I wanted to do pumpkin muffins with a recipe.

What you need to have:

 Flour

Baking soda

sugar

salt

cinnamon

nutmeg

ground ginger

oil

eggs

water

pumpkin from the can NOT THE PIE ONE

Before you start: Preheat oven to 350°F degrees.Prepare muffin tins by greasing with vegetable oil or butter and sprinkling lightly with flour. Shake out excess.

3 1/3 c. flour


2 tsp. baking soda


3 c. sugar


1 1/2 tsp. salt


1 tsp. cinnamon


1 tsp. nutmeg


1/4 tsp. ground ginger

Mix dry ingredients and add:

1 c. oil


4 eggs


2/3 c. water


2 c. pumpkin

Fill muffin tins three-quarters full and bake at 350°F for 

20-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center 

comes out clean.

Frost with Orange Icing or Cream Cheese Frosting.
