E.J. Shortall

Hi everyone I know it's been awhile.
A fellow author was in need of quick promotion of her book so I decided to help out.
Now this authors books funny, gritty and extremely sexxxxxy.
I would like to introduce you to E.J. Shortall.

E.J. Shortall is a homebred resident of London, England.
During her youth, she enjoyed getting lost in the worlds of fictional characters and writing their tales. Sadly, as she grew up and had to adult, life got in the way and making up stories was forgotten. Following a moment of inspiration in 2013, a new fire for literature was reignited. Deciding to put pen to paper to jot down the few words she had, not expecting anything to come from them, she quickly got caught up in her characters and the words started to flow. Those initial few words soon turned into her first full-length novel. With the encouragement of friends and family, Silver Lining was first published in February 2014. Now, several books later, she feels it is safe to say she loves ‘this writing business’ and getting lost in narrating fictional worlds has become her passion.
She writes captivating contemporary romantic fiction that will draw you in and leave you wanting more.
“I’m on one amazing roller coaster ride at the moment and loving every minute of it. I have met so many new and wonderful people, discovered new music gems to integrate into my stories, and learned so many new skills. I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me.”

Here are some of her books:

This story contains mature themes, strong language, and sexual situations. It is intended for readers 18+

Amber Merchant had it all. Living with and engaged to her teenage sweetheart, a nice house and the job of her dreams. Not anymore!
Following a devastating revelation from her Fiancé, Amber finds herself single once again and moving on. To protect herself she vows to stay away from men and guard her wounded heart.
During an evening out to celebrate her newly single life, a chance encounter with a tall, dark and handsome stranger leaves Amber’s head reeling. Intrigued by her draw to him but scared for her heart she flees.
Craig Silver, twenty nine year old CEO, is the last person Amber needs in her life. Battling his own demons, Craig is content on a life of meaningless affairs, one night stands and no commitments.
At first it seems their attraction is mutual… until she runs.
When fate intervenes and their paths cross again, Craig refuses to take no for an answer. Encouraging Amber to take a chance on a single date he sets them on a path of love, lust, truth and deception.

Full of romance, intrigue, emotion and passion, Silver Dove is the concluding part to Craig and Amber’s story that began in Silver Lining.

After the chaos of their early relationship and with their history of broken pasts behind them, Craig and Amber prepare to say ‘I Do’ on their Happily Ever After.
Life rarely runs to plan though.
Amber has fought long and hard to bury her fears and become a stronger person, but when old feelings resurface and tragedy strikes, it takes an intervention from Craig to prove her doubts are unfounded and to believe in love and hope.
Just when they think they are at a point where they can be happy and move forward together, the pair find themselves fighting obstacles and difficulties that will truly test the strength of their bond.
Can Amber gather the strength to fight against the forces trying to destroy her? Will Craig keep his promises of remaining truthful? As a couple are they tough enough to battle through these turbulent times and emerge stronger than ever?

Adam is stuck in a thankless job with a father he loathes, and his secret childhood love is marrying somebody else. In a desperate attempt to forget it all he used a friend in a night of drunken passion.

Golden Oakes’s golden girl, Cassie’s life has been a torment of impossible parental expectations, lies and secrets. The only constant has been her close friendship with the Oakes brothers, and her kickboxing coach turned boyfriend, Jay.

Now training for the fight of her life, Cassie has to trust in Jay more than ever. But when Jay’s demanding ways begin to spill beyond the ring, Adam discovers his feelings for the spritely kick-boxer might be stronger than he could ever have imagined. Putting the past behind him, he vows to be there to protect, support and comfort Cassie.

Falling in love had been the last thing on their minds, but with life taking them along the unpredictable cliff edges of life, will they be there to catch each other if they fall?

Now the next book will be FREE November 30th until December 4th!

***This book contains adult content, scenes of explicit sexual nature and language some may consider crude or offensive, it is intended for readers aged 18+***
Live each day as if it were your last. Worry only about yourself. Work hard and never, ever fall in love. That’s Olivia Buchanan’s motto and she stands by it every day.
Feisty, headstrong and confident, recent graduate Liv is fighting to succeed in the male dominated field she has chosen as her career. As an architect for her best friend's father's respected London based company, her chance to shine and become recognised comes when she lands the prestigious account for GO Sports and Leisure.
Armed with her plans and determination, Liv is ready to deliver the presentation of her life. That is, until he walks in. The mysterious personal trainer from the gym. The only man to have ever made her heart flutter. But he isn't all he seems.
When MMA fighter, Nathan Oakes offers Liv a business proposition to join him in Southern France, she’s left questioning his motives and wonders if she should refuse. She’s also equally intrigued by the prospect of what the trip could do for her career.
Liv has no time for a relationship. Nate doesn’t want one. When forced to live side by side, feelings are stretched and emotions are battled. Can they keep their professional and personal lives separate, preventing them from falling into something they both need to avoid?

Looking for a fairy.

You guy's should've known that I was going to do a blog about this weekend. I'm not ready for tomorrow. The Tragically Hip’s concert is on Saturday.  (Yeah I refuse to say it's last.) I’m holding out for a miracle. I want Gord to walk out on that stage and give us one of his trademark smirks and say “Hey, the doctors have cleared me to do more shows. What do you guy’s think about that?” But this is me being greedy.
See I wasn’t lucky enough to get tickets to any of the concerts. I wasn’t even lucky enough to win tickets. I tried both believe me. I refuse to give into the scalpers. If there is a good fairy out there willing to drop two tickets in my lap I won’t protest. I will however watch the concert with a group of friends who are coming up to see another band playing at the CNE on Sunday.
I am not sure what it is about The Tragically Hip that draws us to them. Maybe in the end it’s because they are just a very humble band.
This is going to be one of those moments we will remember where we were and who we were with.  If you have never heard a Tragically Hip song give them a try.
I will only Saturday listen to all the Tragically Hip songs I have on Spotify and remember each time I saw them.
As always I hope you enjoyed my blog and I wish Gord good luck.
For the rest of let’s remember we only have one chance at this thing called life try not to mess it up.
Until Next time have a great day/night.

Cover Reveal!

I know I've been absent in my blogging and I apologize. I mean I really try not to blow up my kitchen.  I promise you I'll do my best to get back to destroying my kitchen soon.
For my first blog back I decided to go easy on everyone (my kitchen) and  ask a friend for a bit of help. She has a new book coming out soon. She is an amazing author, it's the one and only Author Diana Rose Duffy!

Diane Rose Duffy is a California native who has a passion for books, a whopping coffee addiction and a perpetual craving for chocolate. After recently retiring from a lengthy accounting career in Silicon Valley, Diane presently enjoys the peaceful serenity of daily life in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. Diane Rose Duffy has completed two humorous romance novels and a funny children's chapter book with the support of her husband whom she proclaims to be her 'happily ever after'

Her past Books are: Take a Piece of My Heart.

Kara begins her journey as a youthful innocent woman who marries the town bad boy against her parent’s wishes. A James Dean rebel clone…”THAT GUY”. You know the type because we have all had one of those in our past. Am I right? Though her bad choices bring her face-to-face with the dark side of human nature, Kara’s heartfelt desire to find a pure and everlasting love give her the courage to take chances.
This is the story of Kara and her quest to find her voice, freedom from her past and her own identity. She is a strong spirited female with a snarky attitude and an often-colorful viewpoint on life. Kara is no Barbie doll (either in build or temperament) and thus, her tale will relate to many female readers.

‘Take a Piece of My Heart’ is Kara’s journey of love, friendships, romance, lust and loss. She learns slowly that mistrust, love and hatred of some people may require a second chance.

This book will have you laughing out loud one moment and reaching for the tissue box soon after. It is an emotional read which will grab your heart from the first page and not release it until the final page.

NOTE: Some readers may hesitate to read this book because the synopsis indicates it is about spousal abuse so they assume the book is a depressing read. That is absolutely not the case with Take a Piece of My Heart. This book is focused more on the journey Kara takes after she walks away from her abusive relationship. She married at a young age so she has only been with one man and is naive to the dating scene. The book is actually quite humorous for the most part but does have some moments when tissues will be required.

Love Heals:

Gracie Watson is a sassy, saucy first-grade school teacher with a wicked sense of humor. She enjoys her job helping to shape young, impressionable minds - truly, she does - but she's tired of teaching everyone else's kids while yearning for her own. She's searching for Mr. Right. You know, a soulmate to fill her heart with the love and passion she craves. Little does she know that an ill-fated camping trip with her adventure guide best friend could possibly be the beginning of a dangerous journey to a once in a lifetime love.

Detective Dylan Sanders is career driven and focused on the path before him, leaving his tragic, painful past in a cloud of dust behind him. When spunky Gracie Watson, quite literally, streaks into his life, his future may forever be altered. However, the question is – can Gracie help Dylan forget the heart-wrenching tragedy from his past, enabling him to finally heal and discover love?

Fate has dealt both Gracie and Dylan a losing hand at any chance for love, offering them each difficult challenges to overcome. Love and trust are tested. Loyalties are questioned. A battle for ever-lasting love will be fought as hearts seek healing in the last place they each expect…one another.

Now, they both may have a chance at happiness – together – but only if they can stay alive..................

Are you searching for a contemporary romance novel packed with humor and entertainment? How about a women's fiction novel with action-packed crime, mystery and suspense in a small town setting surrounded by quirky friends and family? Look no further, this romantic comedy is the book for you!

I envy Diana Rose Duffy because she has done something I wish I had the gut's to do. That's write a childern's book.

Blame Bogart:

Imagine being a dog and living in a family with a mom, dad, three little girls, a grandpa, a bird, and a cat. That's my life! My name is Bogart and this is my story. You’ll get to meet my awesome family and see what it’s like to live in the Clark household.

At first it was just my immediate family and me, but slowly we began to expand into the large family we are today. We didn’t always get along, but as we've grown, we’ve learned a valuable lesson. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If we'd never learned that, our lives would have turned out quite sad!

I hope you enjoy reading about my amazing family and all the humorous ups and downs we’ve encountered together on our journey towards learning to respect one another.

Now that I have introduced you to her work. I was thinking maybe you would like to see the cover of her new book?
I'll warn you it's sexy!!

Our Wavering Hearts:

I for one can't wait for it to come out!
