I am back!!! :)

Good Morning everyone, I know you have missed me! Let’s just say this cold winter got the best of me. I had a cold from hell. So now I am back and have two authors I want to tell you about. I am going to start off with someone who has inspired me. She is part of the reason I started writing again. She is one of the most encouraging people I know. That being said let me introduce her to you.
My question are in blue and my guest is in red

Could you please introduce yourself to everyone?

Hello everyone. I’m Denysé Bridger, author of far too many books for me to remember! I publish an online magazine, have recently designed a couple of covers for my books, and just generally do a little of everything that appeals to me. Over the past year I have been lucky enough to become an Amazon Top Ten Best-selling author in several categories, as well as having numerous best-sellers with ARe All Romance eBooks. Thank you for asking me to be here sharing your space.

Would you like to share any work you have done or doing?

I’m currently working on my first series ever, and loving the creation of something that is very different for me. I have no idea when the first book will be published since this is all still in the planning and writing stages, but I hope next year is the launch of a whole new career track for me. Only time will tell of course. I’m also finishing up a novel set in my beloved Italy, and that one has been a long time coming. It’s going to be a very interesting year with lots of new material that I hope will appeal to readers, old and new. I’ve set up Pinterest visual boards so readers can see who I’ve cast in several of the new projects. You can find those boards HERE

Do you have a favorite genre to write or read in?

I read in a lot of genres, and write in many, as well. I don’t have a particular favourite as I enjoy a lot of styles of stories. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of romantic suspense stories, and have discovered the Harlequin Love Inspired imprint. Some excellent authors, and wonderful novels in that line.

Did you always want to write or what inspired you to do it?

I don’t know if writing was ever a conscious choice, or if it’s something I simply always did. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t putting words on a page. I wrote my first stories and even a novel by hand, then typed it up on a typewriter. Then I went to word processor, and finally computer. Damn, I hated that transition. I was frightened to death of attempting to write with a computer. But, obviously, I got over that particular phobia. I’ve been pretty lucky mostly, I had people in my life who saw a writer in me long before I did.

Do you need a nice quiet space to write or are you blasting your music and writing?

Depends, really. I can do both. As I write this, I have the TV on, my mom’s watching a movie. I frequently have music on in the background, or more often the howl of wolves, which I find very soothing. Most of the music I listen to these days is Italian, easy listening, that kind of thing, so it doesn’t destroy my concentration.
If you could give one tip to someone who wants to write what would it be?

Don’t let anyone discourage you if you are really driven to write. But, if your desire to write also includes a desire to publish, then you have to be willing to invest a lot of time and dedication. And, more than anything, you have to learn to separate your ego from your craft. For a lot of people that’s an obstacle they don’t overcome with much grace.

What is the big dream? In other words where would you like your writing to take you to in the future?

Ideally, I’d like to be writing for a big publisher, and focusing more on writing than marketing and promotions. I have a whole series of books I want to get written, but finding time to do it is getting to be the real challenge. For mid-level authors, the promotional end of things takes up more and more time, and it’s always a trade-off that seems to mean less writing time.

If you could meet anyone living or dead who would it be?

Arthur Conan Doyle or Margaret Mitchell. It would be fascinating to talk to the creator of Sherlock Holmes, or Ms. Mitchell’s Scarlett O’Hara. Two of the most memorable literary characters of the modern era.

Now the fun questions:

Do you like pizza or salad?

Salad most of the time.

What do you like more cake or fruit?

            Cake with fruit on it!

What is your favorite kind of music?

Depends on my mood most of the time. I love Italian music, a lot of popular music, easy listening, rock, country, a little bit of everything. I also love Blues and Jazz.

 Who is your favorite Author?
If I had to choose only one, it would be Arthur Conan Doyle. In terms of living/current authors, Lucy Monroe, Lara Adrian, Elizabeth Goddard, Annie West, C.J. Cherryh, Terry Brooks. See, too many to pick just one.

Do you like Vampire, Werewolf, Fairy or shifter men when you read for pleasure?

Lately I haven’t read any of the paranormal stuff, but once again, it depends largely on the mood. I’ve read more vampire fiction than any of the other options, and written it, as well. Lucan Thorne, Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed Gen One vampire is one of my all-time favorite characters.

 Do you have pet's?

My sister’s gorgeous Siberian Husky is the family pet. If I could, I would rescue an abandoned Husky, because I adore them.

Do you have favorite wild animals?

Wolves… one of God’s most beautiful and perfect creatures.

Do you like city or suburbs better?

I like extremes, big cities like New York, and the other end of the scale, too.

If you could live anywhere where would it be?

I’d love to live on a mountain somewhere in a cabin.

Do you like guys with tattoos?

No. I really don’t like tattoos on anyone for the most part.

Do you have a favorite place you like to be?

Home. Mostly I just like to be in my house, comfortable and relaxed.

I enjoyed doing this interview with Denysé Bridger because I think she is a great author and friend. I hope you give her a try if you haven't read anything  by her yet.

A series of killings has the Toronto Police Department in turmoil. The press has labelled the killer a “werewolf” and hysteria is on the rise in the heat of the summer… Detective Damien Knightley is the lead investigator, but he’s got secrets of his own that need guarding in this very public investigation. Knightley is a vampire, and as the case gets more complex, what he discovers has him both baffled and worried.

Coming Soon:

Coming Soon from Evolutionary Publishing, Shades of Death returns:

Death has many shades and shapes... Deep within the ageless Carpathian Mountains, an ancient evil wakes. Imprisoned many centuries ago, the creature has waited, patiently, for the one destined to grant her freedom. Arienne Lereaux has studied the preternatural menace called "vampyre" for most of her life. She is an expert in the field. Loosely affiliated with a secretive organization called The Institute of Paranormal Research and Investigation, she turns to them when she unearths what may be the first representation of the vampyre ever to exist.

The enigmatic and attractive Head of the Institute, Adam Raven, has spent a lifetime tracking the clues left by his mother's disappearance in the mountains of Romania nearly twenty years past. When Arienne arrives at the secluded island headquarters of the Institute, he wonders if she holds the key to finding his lost mother. But before too many days pass, the city of Vancouver is rocked by a series of grisly murders. As it races to find the culprit, the Institute faces an evil unlike any it has encountered before...

In the middle of their hunt, another branch of their network is making a scientific breakthrough in genetically heightened telepathy. The team responsible may soon hold a weapon that will have world powers at their door—until their lead scientist vanishes after leaving Toronto to consult Raven and his people. Ancient myth is suddenly not myth, and evil may take many guises before the Institute can restore the delicate balance that was destroyed the night Arienne stumbled into a remote castle in the mountains half a world away…

I couldn't resist showing you these books as well.
