So who's excited for summer and the great music it brings? I know there are many bands who are touring with their ticket prices being either too expensive or impossible to get.

Do I have a solution for you? Of course I do.



I know there is a certain band who is playing in Toronto July 16th. Their tickets were hard to get. It's a band I personally have never seen live. I won't mention them by name.

Then I found out I could see one of my favorite local cover band's live!

It's a band I can guarantee that you will have a great time at their show. I can guarantee you will get your money's worth. I can guarantee that you will be singing along to every song with them.

How much is it? I'm sure you must be asking yourself. Well that's the beauty of it. It is only around  $13 (with taxes and fees). The show will be at the Phoenix in Toronto.

Now who's the band at such a great cost?

It's Sandman!!! They're the only Metallica sanctioned tribute band!

I've seen these guys play, they leave you wanting more every single time.

94.9 is hosting this event and when you go to the event page you'll see it says “You'll never know who might show up.” It is the same night as another show close by.

All proceeds are going to CAMH. So you'll also be giving money to a good cause while you rock out!

CounterWait

Hey, are you ready for a CD release party? I sure am!

This is this bands first of many albums to come. They put on a great rock show with loads of ENERGY! You can tell this band is made up of a group of guys who are friends on and off stage. Ohh and they are Canadian. They will be playing this Saturday June 24th in Cambridge, Ontario.

Now how much will this once in a lifetime experience cost you? Because really how often do you get to go to a band's first CD release party? This experience will only cost you  $10 dollars.

Now before I forget two other bands will be playing this Saturday.

One band is Punishment and the other band is Abandoned Souls.

So that's three band's for $10 dollars.  

Yes I said three band's and it's a CD release party!!! Three rock bands for a great price!!! What more could you ask for?

I personally can't wait. They're a great band who are passionate about their music.

Looking for a fairy.

                   

You guy's should've known that I was going to do a blog about this weekend. I'm not ready for tomorrow. The Tragically Hip’s concert is on Saturday.  (Yeah I refuse to say it's last.) I’m holding out for a miracle. I want Gord to walk out on that stage and give us one of his trademark smirks and say “Hey, the doctors have cleared me to do more shows. What do you guy’s think about that?” But this is me being greedy.

See I wasn’t lucky enough to get tickets to any of the concerts. I wasn’t even lucky enough to win tickets. I tried both believe me. I refuse to give into the scalpers. If there is a good fairy out there willing to drop two tickets in my lap I won’t protest. I will however watch the concert with a group of friends who are coming up to see another band playing at the CNE on Sunday.
I am not sure what it is about The Tragically Hip that draws us to them. Maybe in the end it’s because they are just a very humble band.
This is going to be one of those moments we will remember where we were and who we were with.  If you have never heard a Tragically Hip song give them a try.
I will only Saturday listen to all the Tragically Hip songs I have on Spotify and remember each time I saw them.

Cover Reveal!

I know I've been absent in my blogging and I apologize. I mean I really try not to blow up my kitchen.  I promise you I'll do my best to get back to destroying my kitchen soon.
For my first blog back I decided to go easy on everyone (my kitchen) and  ask a friend for a bit of help. She has a new book coming out soon. She is an amazing author, it's the one and only Author Diana Rose Duffy!

NOTE: Some readers may hesitate to read this book because the synopsis indicates it is about spousal abuse so they assume the book is a depressing read. That is absolutely not the case with Take a Piece of My Heart. This book is focused more on the journey Kara takes after she walks away from her abusive relationship. She married at a young age so she has only been with one man and is naive to the dating scene. The book is actually quite humorous for the most part but does have some moments when tissues will be required.
